This loop is the shortest of all Jomolhari trekking routes and is the most popular treks in Bhutan also called by the name of “ Yaksa Trek”. It offers a wide range of landscapes, flora and fauna. The highlight of this trek is the spectacular view of Mt. Jomolhari and Jichu Drakey with twin lakes of Tshophu. Along this route you will also see community of Yak also.

Day1. Fly in to Paro. Alt: 2235m/7330ft.
Day2. Excursion to Taksang(Tiger’s Nest) and drive to Shana Camp. Alt: 2890m/9480ft.
Day3. Shana to Soi Thangthanka Camp(8 to 9hrs/ 22km). Alt gain: 685m/2250ft. Alt: 3575m/11,730ft.
Day4. Soi Thangthanka to Jangothang Camp(4 to 5 hrs/ 17km). Alt gain: 469m/1530ft. Alt: 4040m/ 13,250ft.
Day5. Rest day at Jomolhari base camp.
Day6. Jangothang to Dhumzo Camp(6 to 7hrs/ 16km). Alt gain: 540m/1770ft. Alt loss: 1100m/3600ft. Alt: 3800m/12,460ft.
Day7. Dhumzo to Thombu Shong Camp(4 to 5hrs/ 11km). Alt gain: 740m/2420ft, Alt loss: 420m/1370ft/. Alt: 4120m/13,510ft.
Day8. Thombu Shong to Shana Camp (4 to 5hr/ 14.5km). Alt gain: 150m/495ft. Alt loss: 1380m/4525ft.
Day9. Shana to Paro(4hrs/ 17km). Alt gain: 80m/260ft. Alt loss: 310m/1020ft. Drive to Thimphu. Alt: 2283m/7493ft.
Day10. Thimphu Sightseeing.
Day11. Thimphu to Punakha(3hrs /77km).
Day12. Punakha to Paro(4hrs/ 146km).
